FAIRMAT and Etex announce a strategic industrial collaboration focused on new applications of sustainable composite materials for the construction sector.
This collaboration is rooted in a shared vision: transforming the standards of construction materials by combining industrial performance, environmental sustainability, and large‑scale deployment capabilities.

A collaboration serving performance and sustainability in construction
In a global context of increasing regulatory pressure on decarbonization, Etex, a leader in lightweight construction solutions, has chosen FAIRMAT, the leading French company in advanced recycling of carbon composites, to address a complex challenge. Together, they are exploring new technological pathways to integrate recycled carbon composites into various construction applications that today still rely heavily on metallic or carbon‑intensive materials.
While the partnership is covering multiple applications, first developments aim to replace fastening components traditionally made of anodized aluminum or steel. The partnership also targets at least a 50% reduction in carbon footprint compared to aluminum, while improving key properties such as corrosion resistance and thermal insulation.
Thanks to this technology, Etex gains access to some of the most high‑performance and infinitely recyclable carbon composite feedstock, at a cost aligned with the requirements of large‑scale construction. It also enables the activation of a fully industrial recycling stream, made possible by FAIRMAT's fully digitalized and traceable process and FAIRMAT Infinity RecyclingTM technology.

The collaboration is built on a progressive but fast industrialization roadmap. The two companies are also collaborating on several additional use cases, demonstrating the potential for recycled composites to become reference materials for the construction industry of the future.
This approach paves the way for more sustainable, higher‑performing solutions that are better suited to the real constraints of outdoor environments and construction sites.

FAIRMAT accelerates its mission toward total circularity
With Etex, FAIRMAT takes a decisive step forward by entering the construction sector, one of the world’s most carbon‑intensive industries, with the ambition of generating substantial environmental impact. The construction industry accounted for 37% of global CO₂ emissions in 2022. The objective is clear: to create high‑volume outlets for recycled carbon composites, and ultimately eliminate landfill and incineration of carbon composites in Europe, as well as reduce reliance on aluminum and steel.
This partnership also reflects FAIRMAT’s commitment to deploying these materials at scale. By making recycled carbon economically accessible, FAIRMAT aims to permanently transform insulation and structural material standards across all types of buildings.
The announcement takes place at JEC World 2026 in Paris, the global flagship event for composite materials, where FAIRMAT presents its vision of a circular, high‑performance, and competitive industry.

The round was completed with the support of new investors Bpifrance (Large Venture fund), Slate VC and family office Cape Capital, alongside existing shareholders Singular, Temasek, CNP and Pictet Group. An additional €10m equity extension was completed in October 2025 with the European fund Infinity Recycling to support FAIRMAT's industrial acceleration. The company employs 100 people.
