What is FairPly?
FairPly is supplied in sheet and roll formats, akin to traditional dry fabrics or prepregs. It is a robotically assembled array of Fairmat Chips with customized angles and layouts. It can be supported by materials like carbon/glass nonwoven or scrim, or various thermoplastic or epoxy resin films.
FairPly is designed for seamless integration into existing composite manufacturing processes starting from the pattern cutting process. It can then be implemented into any of the traditional wet molding processes (RTM, LCM, infusion, wetlay), combined with virgin prepregs (hybridization) or layered with thermoset/thermoplastic films. It stores at room temperature, unlike many traditional prepregs requiring refrigeration.
Ultimately it allows for seamless integration of sustainable composites without the need for expensive equipment or retooling. FairPly leverages the quality and traceability of Fairmat materials to deliver a unique set of repeatable molded properties.

Since the chips are cured, will I be able to mold a curved or complex shape?
Fairmat materials can be shaped into practically any form. With proper design, even sharp radius features can be molded perfectly. Our engineers can support your design phase.
Will the material stick to itself?
The material requires lamination using new resin or bonding with virgin materials that adhere to it. Wet processes, resin films or hybridization with virgin materials are possible
How does it get to my facility?
FairPly is shipped as flat-packed squares (typically 800 x 800 mm) or in continuous roll format. It does not require refrigeration. Bulk shipments and local warehousing available globally.
